• Question: is it fun being a scientist?

      Yes, it is fun because it it super interesting and you learn new things every day! But it is also fun when you have the freedom to develop or test something.

      Yes! It’s fun to always learn something new, and it’s also fun to work with people that have different expertise, because they can teach you different perspectives. Sometimes coding feels like you’re always working on a puzzle, so it can be challenging but highly entertaining and rewarding once you’ve solved it! When I do field work I almost feel like I am not working, but going on a hike, or a treasure hunt. I get the chance to be in nature in all conditions, from 0 to 40°C, from sunshine to hailstorm. I get to dip my feet in rivers ans see all kinds of animals and plants.

      Usually, yes, but as with everthing there’s hard work which sometimes gets frustrating. Also, there are interesting colleagues.
